Community Service

Beaver Valley FCU is proud of its service to the community. We have history of supporting many local organizations and events. In addition, our staff members pride themselves with being active in the community.

YM2022.jpg“Unleash the Power of Saving at Your Credit Union” was the theme for the 2023 Youth month.  Beaver Valley FCU encourages young members to embrace financial responsibility during National Credit Union Youth Month.

Wall adapters for charging USB devices were offered to young members who visited the office.

This program helps credit unions build strong relationships with their youth and their families.  The Board of Directors and employees are looking forward to another successful event in 2024.

ICU2022.jpgThe third Thursday in October has been set aside as International Credit Union Day.  On October 19, 2023, Beaver Valley FCU joined thousands of credit unions to help raise awareness about the great work that credit unions are doing and also to say “thank you” to their members.

As our members visited our offices, they were given a complimentary oven mitt or lunch tote.

We look forward to celebrating with you on October 17, 2024.

Elan Financial Services, continuing the commitment to partners and their communities, has selected 25 new credit union partners to designate a charity in their community to receive a $15,000 donation on the credit union’s behalf, as part of the 2023 Elan Charitable Giving Program.  Beaver Valley FCU was one of the partners chosen to participate this year. The program has now donated over $1 million since it began in 2022.

Through our partnership with Elan, Bags and Blessings was selected as a local charity to receive one of these donations. Bags and Blessings was founded as a non-profit group dedicated to offering hope and love to cancer patients. They have distributed over 900 gift bags at Christmas, Blossom Bags (300) and Pumpkins for Patients (150). Bags and Blessings also started a Tree Memorial program and two support groups for survivors and children.

“Over the last year we’ve heard and seen firsthand how our charitable giving program is making an impact,” said John Owens, Elan Credit Card General Manager, “These nonprofits are doing incredible work for community members and it’s an honor for us to be able to support them.”

In 2023, Elan plans to organize in-person volunteer events. This will provide the opportunity for Elan team members to work alongside our credit union partners in their communities.
