Community Service

Beaver Valley FCU is proud of its service to the community. We have history of supporting many local organizations and events. In addition, our staff members pride themselves with being active in the community.

National Credit Union Youth Month

Youth Month Image“The Future is Yours, Picture It, Share It, Save for It” was the theme for 2019 Youth month.  Beaver Valley FCU encourages young members to embrace financial responsibility during National Credit Union Youth Month.  With this year's Youth Month theme, we encouraged young credit union members to picture themselves in the future and make saving easier.

Beaver Valley FCU held three ongoing activities during the month; The Savings Challenge ended with Clara as the lucky winner receiving a $25 VISA gift card.  “Guess How Many” Life Savers was won by Evan at the Beaver Falls location and by Hadley at the Bridgewater office. The New Account activity was won by Lucy, who received a $50 deposit into her newly opened savings account.

The young members of BVFCU made 108 deposits for $6,067 during the month AND opened 12 new accounts!

This program helps credit unions build strong relationships with their youth and their families.  The Board of Directors and employees are looking forward to another successful event in 2020.

International Credit Union DayPhoto of Letter Opener

Photo of Staple RemoverThe third Thursday in October has been set aside as International Credit Union Day.  On October 17, 2019, Beaver Valley FCU joined thousands of credit unions to help raise awareness about the great work that credit unions are doing and also to say “thank you” to their members.

As our members visited our offices, they were given a complimentary magnetic power clip or cleaning cloth.
